About this website...
I started this as an assignment for a
web page design class. I kept the most interesting elements, and expanded
it from there. The biggest changes have happened this year, when I added
Wyndspirit
Dreams and got my own domain name. How far I've come from the little
page I put up on the college server! This site is an ongoing effort, and
will hopefully continue to improve. However, for anybody who is experienced
in web page design and thinks this looks amateurish, my pride demands that
I include an explanation. I have a 56K connection that is a joke, and I
despise slow-loading pages. If a page takes too long to load, I go elsewhere,
and I tend to assume that others do the same. I dislike frames, lots of
graphics, and especially animation. (I only kept my little mailbox because
it's so cute!) My pictures tend to be large files because I'm fussy about
quality, but they are always on a separate page, so if you go there, you
know what you're getting into. Oh, and if my text headings and links look
boring to you, install the Black-Chancery font! :)

Lots of time on my hands at work and
a company-paid online web design course that gives me all kinds of good
ideas have inspired me to finally make some of the changes I've been wanting,
and there will be more to come! Watch for the yellow text on my home page
to call your attention to updates and changes. The biggest changes you
will notice right now are the page headings and a welcome page to Wyndspirit
Dreams. The page headings are a nifty little trick so those of you
who don't happen to have my fancy fonts on your computer can still see
my web pages the way I intended them to look. You will hopefully soon be
seeing more headings that look like that. Right now the welcome page means
an extra click to get to my weekly Wyndspirit Dreams essays, but
it's a step in the process of expanding my website and getting my pages
more organized so as I add things, it will be easier for people to find
what they're looking for. Hint: Bookmark Wyndspirit
